Wires and Splicers

There is very little margin of error for underground utilities installation. Digging in the wrong spot or tapping the wrong line is a costly, dangerous mistake. Detectable wires and easy-click splicers are designed to eliminate any source of ambiguity. Read on to learn how Trace Safe products were designed to specifically tackle challenges from the field.

Confident Underground Detection
Durable wires are packed with layer after layer of advanced protective systems. Trace Safe wires are not just physically strong, the broadcast strong, even in high-frequency environments like Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and other 5G applications. By optimizing splicing performance, their solutions contribute to seamless connectivity and efficient network operation in the 5G era.

Detectable Wires – Designing for Durability
Trace Safe detectable wires are built to address water, soil stressors, and rigorous installation. A solid copper core is sheathed in corrosion resistant tin. A layer of polyethylene offers further insulation. Encasing the design are two layers, each specialized to defend against physical threats. High tensile strength yarns are embedded with advanced water blocking compounds. Protecting the entire system is a 30 mil HDPE jacket to fight abrasions.
Trace Safe is protection from everything at every layer.

No-Strip Connection Protection
Trace Safe water blocking connectors are designed to fit our detectable wires. Models includes lateral connectors, end to end connectors, and connectors with locator potential. The UV-resistant housing locks wires into place. You can tell the system is working when you hear the audible click!
Our connectors do the hard part, bridging the wires without any need for stripping. Once the connector is set, you are set!

Two sets of conductive teeth pierce the cable jacket, connecting the wires. There’s no threat of water intrusion as the teeth come coated in Chase Corp’s advanced water blocking material, filling all open space within the insertion point to ensure protection

Trace Safe has more to offer. For maximum performance, we offer auxiliary components to support smaller-gauge wires, letting you connect outside systems to our detectable wires. Marker studs are available for dead end or pass through lines.
