Superabsorbent Hot-Melt
These products are water soluble hot melts containing very fine particle size superabsorbent powder in a homogeneous blend.
Water dissolves the hot melt and exposes the superabsorbent powder, which then forms a gel mass.
These products are applied either directly onto a component of the cable, or onto a substrate, such as yarn, tape, or strength member.

The use of these products at the proper dose rate results in a solidified material that will pass EPA Test Method 9095B: Paint Filter Liquids Test.
