Enhance Plastics Performance, Products, and Processes
Our premier polymer additives are suitable for all types of plastics, plastic products, processes, and end-use markets. We have developed multiple polymer families for diverse applications, such as EPS nucleation, film and sheet antiblocking, PVC lubrication, and mold release. These worldwide-recognized polymers serve as chemical intermediates, compatibilizers, dispersants, scratch-and-mar additives, lubricants, processing aids, and resin modifiers.
Optimum EPS Cell Nucleation
In EPS production, optimum cell nucleation enables superior finished product properties and performance, including improved density potential, faster pre-puff maturation, better foam strength at a given density, faster mold cooling time, and improved molding fusion. Our POLYWAX™ polyethylenes are unique materials that enable the formation of small, uniformly sized cells that promote a better surface finish and lower density of the final product.
Improved EPS Bead Lubrication
Our Bareco™ G 6001 micronized wax powder is anti-static and lubricating, providing excellent mold release, antiblocking properties, and enhanced foam appearance.
Effective Mold Release
From our family of microcrystalline waxes to our POLYWAX™ polyethylenes and copolymers, our products meet your mold release needs whether used as an internal or external constituent, or delivered through blooming, wiping, or spraying.
Enhance mold release attributes further with our functionalized polymer families, including CERAMER™ polymers, VYBAR™ polymers, DIAX™ polymers; UNICID™ acids, UNILIN™ alcohols, and UNITHOX™ ethoxylates.
Efficient Plastics Lubrication
Our CERAMER™ 67 polymer offers excellent internal lubrication for rigid PVC applications at loadings significantly lower than competitive oxidized lubricant grades. Our POLYWAX™ polyethylene waxes are widely used in many other plastics lubrication applications.
Superior Antiblock Applications
Our antiblocking agents range from refined petroleum-derived microcrystalline waxes to specialty low molecular weight, olefin-based polymers that have a very linear structure and narrow molecular weight distribution.
Depending on the application, one or more of the following polymer families can be the appropriate solution to your antiblocking needs: POLYWAX™ polymers and copolymers; and our BE SQUARE™ waxes.
You can use antiblocking agents for a wide variety of applications, including non-clumping and free flow of pellets during packaging, shipping, and transfer; control of surface tackiness of injection, rotational, and blow-molded parts; and easy separation between layers of stacked sheets and wound film rolls.
