Leading manufacturer of conformal coatings solutions, HumiSeal® has announced that its popular UV curing product UV40-250 has been approved by German automotive giant, BMW, for use on all new builds following an 18 month evaluation process. HumiSeal has set a goal to develop the product that meets the exacting environmental requirements found in automotive applications and this recent development endorses that commitment. The company has also recently announced over $1 million investment in R&D and compatibility testing facilities and is keen to highlight to visitors to their stand (9-451) the advantages that these investments can offer as well as details of the recent approval of HumiSeal products by BMW. UV40-250 was designed to meet the requirements of the very demanding automotive industry. It is one of the most challenging sectors for conformal coatings, primarily for the harsh conditions and extreme thermal cycling to which the coatings are continually exposed. Thoroughly convinced by UV40, BMW joins a growing number of automotive manufacturers who have worked with HumiSeal to qualify UV40 for their processes. The robust nature of this product also makes it extremely effective in the industrial controls market.
